Is prior experience necessary? 

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! We teach our 6th grade classes from the very beginning. So it is important to join at the start of your middle school experience. 

What if my child already plays an instrument?

Great! Please indicate that on your Music Sign-Up Form. 

What should I do in the meantime?

Encourage your child to join!  Ask them, “What are you going to play?”  The vast majority of 6th graders enroll in a music class.  Don’t be left out!

How to Join:

Step 1: All 6th grade students will rotate through all connection classes during their first week of school. 

Step 2: At the end of the rotations, students will need to fill out a yellow music form and turn it in on the 6th grade hallway. 

Step 3: You are now enrolled. Remember the only time to join orchestra is during 6th grade! Be part of this once in a lifetime opportunity!
